After
gaining a Degree in Fine art at Newcastle University,
taught in schools
and colleges, performed in various acoustic blues
bands and formed and
ran the infamous “Bradford Blues Club”
(the ‘BBC’ - Steve Phillips,
Brendan Croker, etc).

Spotted
playing in a local bar by Bill Byford of The Rhythm
Sisters.
Then toured and recorded with them for a few years
(Ronnie Scotts,
Friday Night Live, etc) before developing own
project with Huddersfield
singer Mary Johnston, forming Heart Repair.
Signed
potential deal with Warner Brothers’ (East
West) which was eventually shelved in the middle
of the Recession in 1992.
Didn’t
touch guitar for ten years and learnt classical
piano instead!
Had
to come back at some point - now developing solo
career (The Thin Man) playing self-penned songs
from two available CD’s Mother and Physiognomy.

Chris
is receiving much critical acclaim for both recorded
work and live performances!
